ArtMax in support of Portland Youth Philharmonic

ArtMax Academy is honored to have performed live Persian music in the lobby of Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall on Saturday November 12th, 2022. Preceding Portland Youth Philharmonic’s concert Autumn Variations, Maestro Hossein Salehi (santoor), Bobak Salehi (kamancheh), and Nat Hulskamp (oud) played live in the lobby as the audience arrived for the show. PYP’s concert featured four works by outstanding composers, including a world premiere of Childhood Memories (Persian Suite) by Farhad Poupel. Maestro Salehi recently had the pleasure of talking with Mr. Poupel over zoom, and you can watch highlights from their discussion below as well as a clip of ArtMax Academy's performance in the lobby.
